Application of a herbal paste made of gooseberry pulp and medicated butter milk, on the middle of the head in which a suitable oil is kept is called nellikkathalam.

Mode of action

The medicines applied on the middle of the head get absorbed through the smaller openings on the middle of the head. This will stimulate the peripheral nerves and there by do the action.
